Q: How do you pronounce your last name?
A: You're welcome to say my name however you like; but those who know me best and use my name on a regular basis (whether in vain or otherwise) have come to learn that my particular clan of the international Milne brood breaks every "silent-E" rule that you ever learned in first grade. We proudly pronounce it "Miln-ee".

Q: Are you related to A.A. Milne, the author of Winnie-the-Pooh?
A: My mother, the genealogist, swears we are related somewhere back in time to good old uncle A.A. Milne (pronounced Miln), but how far back I can't say for sure. Ultimately, no matter how you pronounce it, all Milne's share roots and branches of the same family tree.

Q: You don't seem old enough to have five children.
A: Thanks! But that's a comment, not a question.

Q: Are you old enough to have five children?
A: Apparently (that's a pun....a-parent-ly!).

Q: What is your personal favorite book?
A: Viktor Frankl's concentration-camp-umentary, Man's Search for Meaning, wins hands down. If you haven't read it, you need to unplug your computer right now and go find a copy. Yeah, it's that good. It's on the New York Times "ten most influential books" list for good reason. Here's my favorite Frankl quote: "We who lived in concentration camps can remember the men who walked through the huts comforting others, giving away their last piece of bread. They may have been few in number, but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way."
